About Us

I'm a 29 year old male, so I may not seem like the typical person to have a doll website. My family has been selling collectibles including dolls since I was a kid. I can remember a lot of my youth was spent at doll shows, doll museums and doll hospitals.

In 1998 it was decided the family business would move to the internet. I was given the job of taking care of all the technical details. I really didn't know what I was doing back then, but have been learning more and more ever since.

My mother is the one who photographs and describes the dolls. She is a certified appraiser. She has always made a huge effort to create top quality photos and descriptions that made us stand out. It wasn't until the end of 2006 when we came across a #1 Barbie that we realized we should probably be archiving and publishing her work, as we're sure people would be interested in seeing it.

dollprice.com was born of my idea to take my mother's high quality work and display it in a custom built website using some of the newest web technologies. I hope people will enjoy it. Right now, all our "values" are just the price we sold that particular doll for. But, within the next few days we will be adding low and high book prices to everything as well (thanks to my mother's certified appraiser status).
